Our clientele’s requirement to ensure their rail systems are operating correctly is critical to ensure safe passage for passengers and/or freight. WRSystems is there to provide quality, economic solutions to the level required. We have some of the most highly qualified professionals available to provide engineering or technical troubleshooting and repair services. Our Administrative and Logistics Department provides asset logistic support as well as behind-the-scenes support for engineering or technical support teams. One example of the support we have provided for this industry is our work on the WiFi installation on Amtrak’s Acela Express fleet. For this project, our Administration and Logistics Department received all equipment and cables, recorded all hardware SNs/MAC addresses into a component tracking database, pre-assembled, cut cables to length, prepping ends, and kitted components by specific train car type, drop-shipping the kits to the appropriate maintenance depot activity. Additional support included configuration management of parts/manuals and maintenance of end of life cycle/obsolete components.

The Administrative and Logistics Department is positioned to provide the highest caliber of assistance to our Transportation/Rail program and their technical support staff in additional areas such as: contract administration; program budgetary monitoring and analysis; requirements tracking; repair status tracking; reports development; data collection; project communications and coordination; meeting and conference support; procurement/sourcing; asset database tracking; barcoding; warehousing; inventory control; material packaging, labeling, and handling; shipping and receiving; supply/depot support, and other administrative life cycle planning and support functions.
