Technical Services for Rail

In order to optimize support for customers in the rail industry, knowledge and experience is leveraged from our Technical Services experts. Our technician’s practical experience is also utilized during the design phase, working in conjunction with engineers to provide insight into maintainability and serviceability for enclosure internal and external component placement and cable and connector configurations. Prototype, proof of concept and production products are integrated, assembled, and checked for quality in accordance with detailed design drawings while adhering to our ISO 9001:2008 certified quality management system (QMS). Following integration, technicians perform a factory acceptance test (FAT) on the final product as both a final quality control test and verification of required system functionality.

Whether in the field or via distant support from the lab, technician’s provide troubleshooting, testing, and repair support of electrical, mechanical, and software systems, down to the component level. This often occurs without having the required supporting documentation, such as manuals and schematics, wherein the technician’s expertise is heavily relied upon to gain an understanding of the system, isolate the issue, and then develop the appropriate solution.

Additional field services performed by technicians include installation, upgrade, and retrofit of systems and hardware/software components. They also have the ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine the best course of action to support our customer’s objectives.
